Mellor House 5 Apartments

The Mellor House 5 is a lovely, small brick house built about 1945. It is divided into two adjoining one-bedroom units, which can be combined or rented separately. Each apartment is updated, remodeled, and fully furnished with free high-speed wireless internet. Off-street parking is available, and the bus stop is just two short blocks away. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. No matter whether your stay is short or long term, The Mellor House 5 can be your home away from home!

Checks are the preferred method of payment. Credit cards are accepted with a 5% processing fee.

Apartment # 1

As you enter the apartment through the front door with digital lock for security, the first room you enter is the brightly lit living room. Featuring a beautiful hardwood floor and a stone fireplace mantel, the living room is furnished with a new sofa. Comfortable chairs are placed in front of large, new windows and flank a marble-topped game table. Overhead lighting is from a small, vintage chandelier. A 36” smart television has been provided for your viewing needs.

The first room on your left, through sliding, 9-light pocket doors, is the dining room. It features a lovely, vintage chandelier and hardwood floors. It is furnished with a beautiful mahogany dining table, four needle-pointed chairs, and a china cabinet. A gas washer/dryer combination is located within the closet in the dining room.

The next room on your left is a private bathroom. The bathroom has a new vinyl floor, toilet, tub, shower head with hand sprayer, and a small pedestal sink with a mirror above. A hairdryer and additional towels are stored on shelves within the bathroom for your use.

On the right is the bedroom featuring two twin beds, which can be joined to form a king-sized bed with advance notice. There is a closet and dresser for storage and clothes, as well as a bedside table and overhead fan lighting. Large windows make the space bright, but a pull down, room darkening shade is provided for privacy.

The last room you enter is the kitchen. The cabinets are golden oak, counters are a mottled tan laminate, and the vinyl floor matches the bathroom flooring. The large appliances include a refrigerator, gas stove, and microwave oven. The kitchen is fully equipped with towels, hot pads, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, and flatware. Small appliances, such as a coffee pot, hot air popcorn popper, and toaster are stored in the china cabinet in the dining room. A few days’ supply of dish soap, laundry soap, etc. are included for your convenience. Canisters are filled with popcorn, flour, sugar, and coffee.
